PROJECTS

Oi Anthropoi Mesa Mou
An album that strikes at the core of contemporary Greek music is making its debut under the title Oi Anthropoi Mesa Mou (The People Within Me). A poetic and daring recording venture—an artistic meeting point that eschews the comfort of commercial safety, forging instead its own path under the artistic direction of acclaimed lyricist Kostas Fasoulas.
The album features nine songs, thematically and emotionally interconnected, with lyrics that speak to the most human of truths: absence, hope, loss, the need for forgiveness and reunion, and the delicate line between “too little” and “everything” in our relationships.
Eight distinguished composers from different generations and musical backgrounds undertook the musical composition:
Alexandros Emmanouilidis, Pantelis Thalassinos, Giorgos Kazantzis, Themis Karamouratidis, Chrysostomos Karantonis, Yiannis Mitsis, Christos Nikolopoulos, and Nikos Xydakis.
The arrangements—shaping the album’s final musical identity—were signed by two exceptional musicians/arrangers: Leonidas Petropoulos (“Dyo Kouventes”, “Oi Anthropoi Mesa Mou”, “Agistri”, “Stachti ke Fotia”, and “To Dentro”) and Dimitris Sintos (“Mia Alitheia”, “Adeies Kerkides”, “Sinialo”, and “Agrios Kairos”, in collaboration with Kostas Parisis).
The result is an album that is stylistically diverse yet firmly cohesive, honoring the legacy of Greek music while engaging in dialogue with today’s musical sensitivities.
Maria Alamani and Labros Vasileiou deliver performances with strength, depth, and expressive nuance, bringing clarity and emotion to all nine songs. As emerging voices under the direction of Kostas Fasoulas, they become carriers of a musical vision imbued with soul.
The first two singles, “Dyo Kouventes” (music by Themis Karamouratidis, performed by Maria Alamani) and “To Dentro” (music by Yiannis Mitsis, performed by Labros Vasileiou), have already won the hearts of radio producers and listeners alike.
Oi Anthropoi Mesa Mou stands as testament to the vitality of Greek music—still breathing, still moving, still discovering new voices that are truly worth hearing.
ARTISTS

Maria Alamani
Maria Alamani is a singer and a senior student at the Department of Primary Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (E.K.P.A.).
The deep, distinctive timbre of her voice was evident from an early age. She took her first steps in singing as a member of the Rosarte children's and youth choir, participating in world choir Olympics and winning a gold medal.
She is a graduate of the Alimos Music School, where she collaborated with various artists on both small and large stages. In 2019, just before turning 18, she was noticed by Mikis Theodorakis during a school concert. This led to a personal meeting with him, which she considers a defining moment in her musical journey.
Maria has studied under Elli Paspala and Myrto Papathanasiou. She plays the piano and continues her professional studies in music and singing.
Her first recording participation was released by Minos-EMI with a cover of the song "Ki Ego San Poli", with lyrics by Manolis Rasoulis and music by Manos Loizos. This was part of a tribute marking 40 years since the passing of Manos Loizos, featuring 30 young artists, along with Dimitra Galani and Maria Farantouri.
Later, she was recognized by Dynami tou Aigaiou and participated with two songs (by Christos Tsiamoulis and Nikos Grapsas) in the album "Anasa."
In 2025, she collaborated with Lampros Vasileiou on the album "Oi Anthropoi Mesa Mou", which was released by LEAP.
Maria continues to perform live at various music venues in Athens.
