New Album: AEON – Haimalina

AEON makes a dynamic entrance with her new discographic venture, Haimalina—a work that fuses rap with the sonic roots of Greek music, creating a journey that teeters between past and present. Consisting of 11 tracks, the album stands out for its atmospheric, deeply emotional productions—most of which are signed by AEON herself—highlighting a sound rich in emotion, energy, and authenticity.
While the Cretan element strongly permeates the album, Haimalina is not confined to it. For example, “Kokkin’ Acheili“ draws inspiration from folk song, whereas in “Thalassa“, AEON is inspired by Bulgarian traditional music and polyphony. The track, composed by AEON, is enriched with Balkan melodic elements.
Thanassimos played a crucial role in mixing and mastering at Hotbox Music Studio, giving the album its distinct sonic signature.
Additionally:
- On “Mortisses“, featuring Aria and produced by DJ Silence, the mixing and mastering were handled by Incognito M. and 0-100 Seirene at Pineline Music Lab.
- On “Kokkin’ Acheili“, Th Mark took charge of production, mixing, and mastering at 14121 Recording Studio.
Haimalina features artists who add their own unique mark: Thanassimos, Dolly Vara, Th Mark, Marina Kastrinou, Aria, and DJ Silence.
Two music videos accompany the album’s release: “Flowqueen“, directed by Nikos Choudalakis, and “Takadimi“, produced by Ludens Creative Productions and set to be released soon.
The cover art was curated by the Bric a Brac team.
Haimalina is an album that breathes through the fusion of rap and traditional music, free of constraints and boundaries.
Each track is a unique sonic world where heavy basslines, melodic arrangements, and powerful lyrics weave a universe filled with imagery, emotion, and storytelling.
From the raw truths of the street to the most introspective moments, the album balances instinct and detail, delivering an experience that remains etched in memory.
